Emily was born and raised in the small village of East Calais, Vermont. In 2013 she graduated from Maine College of Art with a degree in Metalsmithing and Jewelry, before moving to North Carolina for the two year Core Fellowship at Penland School of Craft. Since then she has been a practicing studio jeweler living in Asheville NC, as well as teaching and taking classes at craft schools up and down the East coast.
Her repetitious habit of sketching structures and patterns has informed her latest body of work, using line and wire to create planes and define space. Gemstones add color and shape to these linear structures.
